About the trip
In spite of that, this area is close to Prague. It is charming and beautiful, we can find here sights from middle ages as well as remains of prehistoric civilizations.
We'll start at the famous gothic castle Karlštejn - Emperor's Charles IV. second home and pride... After that we'll go through the romantic walley of the river Berounka, where nature has built giant sand rocks of old creations. During the way we will pass remains of political prisons called "Gulags". Our second stop is baroque monastery "St. John under the Rock", home of monk Ivan, idealy harmonizes with its rocky surroundings. And finaly we'll reach stalagmite caves, where remains of our ancestors were found, 300 000 years old...
